Stand With Walmart Workers!

Odds are that some of you have made big plans to shop on "Black Friday." For those of you who are pumped to go bargain hunting today, we hope you'll agree to one thing.

Pledge not to shop at Walmart on Black Friday.

This Black Friday thousands of Walmart workers in Missouri and across the country, joined by community and labor supporters, are taking a stand against Walmart and holding actions all over the country to demand better wages and working conditions. To find out about local Black Friday events near you click here.

Walmart provides a case study of the rising economic inequality in America. Walmart made $17 billion in profits this year, but pays its employees poverty wages: 825,000 of their employees make less than $25,000 a year, trapping them and their families in a state of economic insecurity.

A job shouldn’t trap workers in poverty. It should lift them out of it. Take the pledge to not shop at Walmart on Black Friday!
