REX LOSES BIG IN NIXA

Voters approved a proposal to allow Nixa Public Schools to issue $9.5 million in capital improvement projects by a vote of 3,006 for “yes” to 1,368 for “no.” The bond proposal gained 68.72 percent of the popular vote, well more than the 57 percent supermajority required for passage…. “I feel real good about our campaign, but I don’t feel good about what the St. Louis group has done to us,” [Superintendent Stephen] Kleinsmith said. “I do believe our community is smart enough to see through that.”
