Missourians Stand Up to Discrimination on Equality Day

Advocates for equality came from across the state to the Capitol on Wednesday to fight for the Missouri Nondiscrimination Act or MONA.

MONA would extend the existing Missouri Human Right Statute to include sexual orientation and gender identity as protected categories, making it illegal to discriminate against the LGBT community in Missouri.

It is time for the Missouri General Assembly to do what is right for Missouri communities, businesses, and citizens and pass MONA in 2015. Let’s make sure no one else is fired for being who they are.
