Leutkemeyer: Heritage Action, Freedomworks, and Club for Growth are "Problem Children"

It appears Congressman Blaine Leutkemeyer has joined the “oh my gosh, they are crazy” club. Leutkemeyer recently took a stab at tea party think tanks Heritage Action, Freedomworks, and Club for Growth, claiming their work is not that on behalf of a conservative agenda, rather to advance their own profile and raise money.

"These groups have had a different agenda that is not a conservative agenda. These are not conservative groups. They’re out there strictly for themselves to energize a group of people to help them with a network to fundraise and enhance their ability to have an impact."

In addition to pointing out these groups are operating an extremist “non-conservative” faction, Leutkemeyer went on to attribute the fragility of the Republican party to the opposition from Heritage Action, Freedomworks, and Club for Growth. “They continuingly undermine what we're trying to accomplish in Washington”. He continued to say, “these groups are over the top with the way they behave” and “they have a different agenda, using different conservative groups to drive us apart”.

We’ve known these “problem children”, as Leutkemeyer puts it, have been off the rails for a while. But what’s important to notice is even Leutkemeyer and his GOP are distancing themselves from these radical groups.
