Home Care Workers Deserve a Living Wage. $11/hr Isn't Too Much to Ask.

Thousands of home care attendants are asking Governor Nixon to stand with them and support an $11 an hour wage. These attendants provide critical in-home services to 30,000 seniors and people with disabilities across Missouri. These services enable Missourians to remain living at home independently with dignity, and save the State millions of dollars per year avoiding costly institutional care. While attendants are there for our friends and family 24/7, they live in the shadows earning poverty wages. The average attendant earns only $8.60 an hour and rarely gets full-time hours.
