How Far Will $100k Get You With Greitens?

Betsy DeVos--famously known for her family’s wealth and mega GOP donor status, focus on dismantling unions (specifically teachers’ unions) with so-called “right to work," and tampering with Michigan’s public schools in favor of charters--has been tapped as the next Education Secretary.

The DeVos family's influence reaches far beyond Michigan borders--they recently gave $100,000 in donations to Governor-elect Eric Greitens.

As the former chair of the Michigan Republican Party, DeVos backed a failed ballot initiative in 2000 that would have amended the state constitution to allow students to use taxpayer dollars to attend private schools.

Despite its failure, DeVos has remained a political influence, pushing Michigan lawmakers to erode their public education system between funding gaps and “championing” unregulated charter school systems.

Let's cross our fingers it takes more than $100k to convince Governor-elect Greitens to strengthen--not erode--public education in Missouri.
